Mini Wedding Cakes, Cupcakes and Treats

Now I’ve never been a huge fan of traditional wedding cakes. That dark rich fruit cake with the sickly sweet layer of marzipan topped off with a tooth cracking slab of icing has never really appealed. Happily it seems that I’m not alone and not only have wedding cakes themselves improved, with the humble sponge cake making a bit of a comeback, but the choices of cakes are also much wider, with many couples just as happy to pass around delightful little cupcakes as they are slabs of fruit cake.

In fact little sweet treats are now being used as impressive table centrepieces and even edible wedding favours! So if you want to satisfy your guests’ sweet tooth craving instead of extracting them, then consider these irresistible and delicious cakes, fancies and treats.

Cupcakes

These stylish silhouette wedding cupcakes look fabulous and can be personalised with your choice of initials. They are stunning and most definitely very very tasteful!

Or for those who really do take their cakes and fancies seriously, how about a Cupcake Bar? We’re not talking alcohol here but a sweet fix of a selection of scrumptiously delicious cupcakes arranged on a bar for guests to marvel at before they get to ‘dig in’. There’ll be such a huge variety of flavours and toppings that it’ll be almost impossible to choose just one!

Mini Wedding Cakes

Instead of having one huge cake that is then cut up into a hundred or so slices and wrapped in tissue for guests to slip into their bags and forget about, why not have individual mini wedding cakes? They are far more stylish than a fruit cake slice and if you are having an intimate day with just a few close family and friends present, then it makes much more sense than splurging on a huge cake that will go to waste. These dainty little rose cakes make ideal mini wedding cakes and look delectably beautiful arranged on a cake stand. These mini beauties certainly won’t be forgotten in the bottom of a handbag!

Chocolates

Who doesn’t salivate at the thought of chocolate? Surely no wedding party is complete without some delicious chocolate treats? These chocolate wedding favours come in white or milk chocolate in a beautifully presented box that can be personalised with either words or a picture! Edible wedding favours don’t come tastier than this!
