Travelling To Dublin

Getting to Dublin couldn’t be easier. There are regular ferries from Holyhead and Liverpool as well as flights from most major UK airports; booking in advance is the best way to go if you choose these methods of travel. But by far the cheapest way to travel to Dublin is by train using the SailRail train and ferry ticket. This will enable you to travel from almost any major train station in the UK to Dublin for just £33 each way, including your ferry ticket – bargain!

There are hundreds of different types of accommodation to choose from! If there’s a group of you and you don’t mind sharing, you could book a whole dorm to yourselves with one of Dublin’s youth hostels, which is probably the cheapest form of accommodation in Dublin. But as it’s a hen night, you may want to indulge in a little pampering and Dublin is not short of luxury hotels! From magnificent country lodges with indulgent spa treatments to buzzing city centre hotels, Dublin has every type of accommodation you could wish for, to suit any budget.

Dublin by Night and by Day

Dublin is a young and lively city that is steeped in culture and so you are spoilt for things to do. For shopaholics, Grafton Street and Henry Street are crammed with boutiques and designer stores as well as all the high street shops whilst the more adventurous shopper will appreciate Blackrock weekend market. Or, just a stone’s throw from the city centre, you can find yourself relaxing on one of the long sandy beaches or exploring one of Dublin’s many castles.

As for nightlife, well there are pubs around every corner; from the modern and super cool to the traditional and cosy. Head to Temple Bar to sample some of Ireland’s finest bars, restaurants and nightclubs and dance away until the wee hours!
