Bridesmaid Fashion Trends for 2011

As spring settles in, the world of fashion takes a look at the trends for this year as well as predicting what will be hot for 2011. With the Royal Wedding now over, the wedding rush is by no means dying down with plenty of couples tying the knot this year and setting the trends for bridal fashion. Not to be missed are the bridesmaids, so we take a peek at the bridesmaid trends for 2011.

Bridesmaid dress styles have altered considerably over the years and the theme which is very much in evidence now is vintage, classic lines coupled with prom-style dresses. Lengths still vary considerably and so there are plenty of styles in the shops that range from full length maxis up to short tea-length dresses. As for colour, well bridesmaids are getting bold with striking pink, apple, yellow, lilac, orange, raspberry and deep reds, although watch out for nude colours and florals which are expected to gain in popularity.

Brides are much more flexible these days and willing to let the bridesmaids choose their own dresses (which also means you may have to pay for your own!) resulting in the red card for full and flouncy with many bridesmaids preferring to choose styles that they can wear again.
